Teacher's Day used to fall on 1 September but it has been changed to the first friday of September which is 7 September this year.
So if you haven't found a teacher's day gift yet, you still have a week to go.
Unless your son is in Primary School cos then the teacher's day celebrations have been brought forward by a week due to the school holidays.
Well, here is a quick and easy DIY gift idea that you might like...
I have been drinking a lot more tea of late and really enjoying it. So as I was thinking about teachers and how to pamper them in their busy days, I thought what fun it would be to have tea bags that had special sayings on them.
It would be super easy to just repackage tea bags by covering up the tags just by stapling over them. So as I scoured the internet for quotes, I became more excited and ended up with 18 different quotes! Armed with the quotes, I designed a simple tea bag label that could be attached.
- a box of tea bags
- gift box (optional)
Here are the simple steps if you think you would like to make this:
Download and print the printable
Using a scissors, cut out all the tea bag tags by snipping around the black border.
Staple the new tea bag tag over the old tag (completely hiding the old tag underneath).
Arrange the tea bags in a new container or the box that it came in. (The clear boxes in the pictures are from Daiso and cost $2)
Finally, I tied a ribbon over the box. And there you have it, something that you and your child can make for her teacher.
I think it is perfect for a female or male teacher and will not only give them a slight reprieve in their busy day but also act as a reminder of how much you appreciate the work that they do.
Oh and don't forget to add a card to pen down your wishes for the hardwork that they put in day after day! A big salute to all the teachers out there who are helping raise the next generation! Thank You!
p/s Tomorrow I will show you how the tea bag tags can also be used as a cupcake topper or pair it with your baked goodies to show your teacher some extra love.
