Living in hustling and bustling Singapore can be stressful. Work can be demanding and it can be hard to schedule in time to take care of the other areas of our lives.
This new series titled Singapore Secrets hopes to bring you simple tips to save you time and help you carve out time to relax and recharge.
We begin our series this month with Singaporean's favourite topic - Food. Today, we check out the Food Delivery options in Singapore.

Life can get busy and sometimes there just isn't time to cook.
In addition, if you have kids and have chosen the "no helper" route, you might even appreciate being able to order food on the rare occasion.
I felt exactly that way last friday and used Food Panda to order online from Yeo Keng Nam Traditional Hainanese Chicken Rice.
Although it was pricier, I really appreciated not having to wake up my kids from their nap or having to venture out in the pouring rain.
We ordered the prawn paste chicken, clay pot tofu and spinach with assorted eggs as well as the hainanese pork chop. With the exception of the hainanese pork chop, I would order the other dishes again. My order also arrived in record time which I was pleased about.
So I thought it would be interesting to find out what other options are out there.
I posed this question to the Singapore Mom Bloggers and here is what they shared with me:
1. Thai to Go
"When we need to take a break from cooking, we like to order from Thai To Go, mainly because we love Thai cuisine. Their lunch bento sets and Thai bento box are delicious and value for money (2 sides, a main, and a dessert for less than $12, one main with rice for less than $6 respectively). The ala carte menu is quite extensive for a takeaway delivery menu. For sides, we love the homemade spring rolls and the mango salad. For the mains, we like the pineapple rice and the Chicken with dried chilli and cashew nuts. If you like spicy food, I recommend the Thai basil chicken/beef. The steamed sliced fish with Thai soy sauce is delightful too. And what is Thai cuisine without Tom Yum soup? We love the clear Tom Yum seafood soup. We also love the Must-Have Mango Sticky Rice to end our meal on a sweet note!"

2. Sakae Sushi
"We love to order from Sakae Sushi cos everyone at home loves Jap food, and sometimes it's a hassle to queue up to dine at their outlets. Love that they have a great variety available at reasonable prices and you can easily check the status of your order online."

3. Pasta Mania
"We order from Pasta Mania once in a while - prices and portions are reasonable. We particularly like their new packaging which separates the sauce from the pasta, and prevents the pasta from becoming soggy. We absolutely love their cheese sticks!!"

"We sometimes order from Brinda's when looking for something different to order in. We like their North Indian food, and have enjoyed their butter chicken, aloo gobi masala and mutton roganjosh. The best part is that they are open 24 hours!"

"I love to order from Shepherd's Pie for their yummy pies, which are a sure winner whenever I have friends or family over. It is my comfort food!"

"We sometimes order food from STUFiT for dinner gatherings when we are lazy to cook. I like their chicken with butter rice and nuts. Tip: May need to order some sides or supplement with other dishes, as the rice may not be enough to feed a hungry party!

7. Yum Cha
"Once in a while, on those lazy weekends when we feel like sleeping in but yet crave for some yummy comfort food, we would ring the hotline of Yum Cha Express (6222 1717) and we'll have piping hot siew mais, char siew baos, har kows (prawn dumplings) and other dim sums delivered to your door-step in time for a cosy brunch! :) Check out their online menu here"

"For Spizza, we love the reasonably priced good quality pizzas and pastas and sides such as the salads and calamari. We love the ravioli and Helena pizza."

Isn't that a great list? I had never heard of half the places. These mummy bloggers are a wealth of advice. I feel so lucky to have met them.
But, hey you might know of a yummy delivery place in Singapore that you would recommend!
If you do, please suggest it in the comments so everyone can try it too.
