Seven years ago, I gave birth to a baby boy. He was my first baby and I was suddenly a mummy. It was a difficult labour but I was relieved that my baby pulled through and was safe in my arms.
On this day, I like to remember those first few days. I remember how sweet his first smile was. The way he looked at me as if he recognised that I was his mummy (I suppose he did recognise my voice).
But I also remember how scared I was when the doctor discovered an abnormal heartbeat in our baby. It certainly took us by surprise. So although I tried very hard to be brave when the Doctor told us the news, I remember quietly crying in my ward the next day.
Yet seven years later, here we are, able to celebrate those wonderful seven years. I can't tell you how thankful I am for J. How much joy he brings to me. So today, I wanted to celebrate just a few milestones from the past year. The little things and big things.
Here are the really simple instructions on how to make meaningful milestone toppers :
It really is easy, isn't it?
Plus a great way to encourage your child in their life journey. These little toppers would also fit perfectly in a scrapbook page or a keepsake box and act as precious reminders. What milestones would you jot down for your child?
