This is the last baby shower party for the week and it is an extra special one. The reason being the baby in question is my nephew-to-be! My little sister is having a baby and it is going to be a boy. My sister and I are very close so when I knew she was going to have a baby, I knew I wanted to do something special for her.
My mum handled all the food and I gladly helped with the craft side of things. I had some baby onesies that I had saved for a rainy craft day and a roll of freezer paper. I wanted to try out this idea that I had seen on Martha Stewart where they customised onesies using freezer paper.
I found a few silhouettes and used my silhouette cameo to cut the right shapes out. Then I ironed the freezer paper onto the onesies and bibs. (If you have never used freezer paper, this tutorial that I did for custom t-shirts should help.) I left a little space for the guests to use the stamps to customise it a little further which some did. I think they turned out really nicely. Take a look.
My sister's last name is now Moon and so we had lots of fun making up onesies and bibs using the moon theme. I'm sure there is no surprise that we have a onesie that says love you to the moon and back. See you if you can spot it below.
Although some of the guests were a little fearful about trying their hand at crafting, they all did and were surprised at how easy it was. I think they did an amazing job. What do you think?
Bibs & Onesies from Amazon, Glass Bottles from Daiso, Grey Paper Straws from Papermarket, Martha Stewart Fabric Paint from Art Friend, Freezer Paper from Cold Storage.
