Since we have been talking about food, I want to show you this project that merges toast with art and would be a great way to introduce art to kids.
Created by Ida Skivenes from Oslo, Norway, the pieces that you see were eaten by Ida after creating them. Each piece took more than 30 minutes to create and were a part of a particular set of pieces inspired by actual artwork and called the Art Toast Project.
You can check out other food art pieces by Ida at her instagram account @idafrosk.
If you are keen to make your own toast art, I suggest this easy method that I found. Cut out aluminium foil and place it over the bread before toasting it in the oven. For inspiration, check out more cute toast art.
p/s You may have noticed that I have decided to phase out Weekend Snapshots and in it's place, I have launched a new blog series titled Creativity Spotlight. I think it is a great way to start the week and if you have noticed any budding creative talent or work that begs to be noticed, do drop me a note. I would love to share it with the readers here.
