Have you ever felt like you were in a creative rut? I did last week. I was trying to come up with DIY ideas and I kept drawing blanks.
At that point, pinterest doesn't help.
The solution is to do something else.
So I turned my focus to food.
What better way, do I hear you say?
Over the weekend, I flipped through food magazines, browsed recipes online and planned my meals on the Connoisseur app which Yann recommended to me. By the end of it, I was pleased to have the family meals planned out and it definitely energised me.
I went shopping for groceries over the weekend and by Monday, I felt refreshed to tackle new posts again.
Phew. I was seriously worried that I had totally lost my creative mojo there.
I'm sure you're equally glad to hear that thankfully, that wasn't the case.
I really enjoyed posting this week and loved hearing all your comments. Some of your comments on fondant even led me to update the post so it is more helpful. I really appreciate it when you let me know what you think. It makes this place better for everyone. Thanks for that!
Here are some people that inspired me this week:
1. I had coffee with the talented Claire of Fellow Fellow this week. It was lovely chatting to her and getting to know the person behind the blog. If you haven't already, you have to visit her blog. She has loads of lovely DIY ideas on her blog which you won't want to miss out on.
2. Irene of Bloesem Blogs recently posted about the Creative People Projects started by Rebecca Toh where she photographs creative people in their studios and offices. I really enjoyed that sneak peek into the lives of these creative people.
3. Elisa of Give Them Roots and Wings was captured in this video series titled the Singaporean of the Day for her litter picking initiative. It is a short inspiring video that is definitely worth watching.
That's it from me.
See you back here on Monday!
